Ramgarhia College of Education grabbed first position in the GNDU M.Ed. Result

Ramgarhia College of Education, Phagwara outshined in the first semester M.Ed. result declared by Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. The M.Ed. student Vandana Bhanot made the institution proud by securing first position in the University. She topped the GNDU M.Ed. first semester result by scoring 391/500 marks.

Dr.Vyoma Bhogal Dhatt,Director, Ramgarhia Educational Institutions honoured the position holder. Mrs. Manpreet Kaur Bhogal, President cum Chairperson, Ramgarhia Educational Council congratulated Principal Dr. Surinder Jit Kaur, teachers and students of the College for this marvelous achievement. Further, she said that the College has been a hub of excellence since its inception in 1956. The collaborative and constant efforts of all involved help the college in achieving milestones in the field of Education. Principal Dr. Surinder Jit Kaur articulated that the prospective teachers are not only groomed in co-curricular aspects in the college but they are unsurpassed in academics also. The College has lucratively attained the goal of optimum personality development and would carry on its quest for brilliance in prospect.

Ramgarhia College of Education, Phagwara has been re-accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with 'A' Grade in the recently announced list of institutions accredited in 2nd and Subsequent Cycle. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council, established by the University Grants Commission evaluates the performance of the Universities and Colleges in the Country. The culmination of this re-accreditation process has made the management, staff, students, alumni, parents and other stakeholders proud.

The NAAC Peer Team was headed by Prof. V. Sudhakar, Chairperson; Br. Albert Longley, Member Coordinator; and Prof. K.B. Budhori, as its Member. The Peer Team visited all the facilities and units of Ramgarhia College of Education and had extensive interaction with all the stakeholders and alumni of the College.

The team appreciated the College for its glorious history, excellent academic and co-curricular achievements, research contributions, inclusive practices, hi-tech laboratories, teaching-learning services rendered by the faculty members and the enormous support services provided by the college. Besides, the College is unique in imparting truly value-based education, which manifests in the multifarious extension activities aiming to enhance social welfare. Further, the interaction with the students bubbling with zeal indicated the quality and openness of the academic culture provided to the students that would help them to face the challenges of life.

Ramgarhia College of Education has always maintained standards to uphold excellence since its inception in 1956.

As per the recommendations of the NAAC Peer Team, the College would now make consistent efforts to emerge as an institution with Potential Excellence in Teacher Education and act as a role model for other Teacher Education institutions. 'A' Grade Accreditation by NAAC is a fillip to continue with positive energy and vibrancy for the college.

Ramgarhia College of Education, Phagwara performed fantastically and won the Overall First Runners up trophy in the Zonal Youth Festival held at GNDU, Amritsar. Various Colleges of Education affiliated to GNDU participated in the festival. Students of Ramgarhia College of Education performed with full enthusiasm and won numerous prizes; musical items: geet 2nd prize, group shabad 3rd prize, group song 3rd prize; fine arts: cartooning 1st prize, slogan writing 1st prize, phulkari 2nd prize, and sketching 3rd prize; theatre items: mimicry 1st prize; literary items: elocution 2nd prize, poetical symposium 3rd prize and quiz 3rd prize. All the items were highly praised by the judges, experts and audience. The culmination of the youth festival brought splendor and glory to the college.

S. Bharpur Singh Bhogal, Chairman cum President, Ramgarhia Educational Council, congratulated the Principal Dr. Surinder Jit Kaur, the Staff and Students of Ramgarhia College of Education for their hard work which paved the way to this superb and praise worthy performance and he wished the same in the prospect. Mrs. Manpreet Kaur Bhogal, Vice President , Ramgarhia Educational Council, and Dr.Vyoma Bhogal Dhatt, Director, Ramgarhia Educational Institutions also graced the occasion with their presence.
